Bellamy Young

Young was a performer when she began her career in the theatre. As Mary in the original line-up, Young gave her Broadway premiere in the role of Mary on Broadway in 1997. In addition, she performed off Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Rolled Along (1994) along with as in Randy Newman's Faust (from 1995-96). Her first appearance on television in 1995 with an appearance on the show as Dr. Courtney Evans, NBC's daytime soap drama Another World. Between 1997 and 1998, she guest-starred in Law & Order, playing two different roles. The film debut came in 1999. Her debut film was a minor role in Black and White. In the following years she appeared in several independent movies. Her first guest appearances on television dramas and comedies in the early 2000s. These included The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Between 2000 until 2011, Young made appearances in over thirty TV shows. The year 2003 saw Young got a role as one of the regulars on the USA Network show Peacemakers. After nine episodes, the show was cancelled after just one season. It was her turn as a character on the Lifetime series For the People, a legal drama. Atty. Agnes Hunt, NBC's Scrubs in the role of the character Dr. Grace Miller, NBC's Scrubs with Monica West (CSI: Miami, 2005-06) as well as ABC's Dirty Sexy Money, as Ellen Darling (the eldest in-law daughter of the Darlings) and CBS's CSI: Miami, as Monica West (assistant state attorney).
